Kenya’s 2015 world javelin champion Julius Yego marked a strong return to form with a winning throw of 83.08m at the Paavo Nurmi Games 2025 in Turku, Finland on Wednesday (17). Competing at the World Athletics Continental Tour Gold meeting, Yego outperformed a competitive field to secure the top spot, reaffirming his status as one of Africa’s premier javelin throwers on the global stage.
