Olympic champion Thea LaFond delivered a historic performance at the 76th Boris Hanžeković Memorial, producing a world-leading and meeting-record leap of 15.25m in the women’s triple jump on 26 June 2026 at Sports Park Mladost in Zagreb. The remarkable jump, achieved at the prestigious World Athletics Continental Tour Gold meeting, was the best women’s triple jump mark in almost four years and moved LaFond to equal ninth on the world all-time list while strengthening her legacy as one of the event’s greatest athletes.
