The Moi International Sports Centre was constructed in 1987 by the Kenyan government in partnership with the Chinese government. Located approximately 15km from Nairobi City Centre, the Moi International Sports Centre is located in Kasarani along the busy Thika SuperHighway. Similarly, the sports complex boasts of other crucial services and facilities such as modern changing rooms, mini shops, restaurants, internet hot spots, press and media areas, 6 conference rooms each with a capacity of 60 people.

The facilities are well equipped with state of the art running tracks, football and rugby pitches, an Olympic size swimming pool, an indoor arena and a 108 capacity hotel. The stadium’s strategic location coupled with its many amenities makes it ideal to host all forms of sports such as Athletics, Football Basketball, Tennis, Rugby, Swimming and a host of Indoor games at world-class standards.

The Kasarani stadium located within the Moi International Sports Centre hosted the 2017 World U18 Championships in Athletics and the 2021 World Athletics U20 Championships. World-class preparations were undertaken to host the last leg of the 2021 World Continental Tour dubbed the Kip Keino Classic on 18th September 2021 in Nairobi, Kenya.

The 3rd edition of this Continental Tour will be held at the same venue on 7th May 2022. It is bound to be as intriguing as last year’s event where local and international athletes competed against each other spike against heel leaving the spectators hysterical and on their feet. A vivid memory for all who were present at the venue.

See you all there!
