Chepchirchir dashes to a meeting record in Zagreb
Kenya’s Nelly Chepchirchir dashed to victory with a finishing kick and also a personal best of 1:57.00 in the women’s 800m at the Boris Hanzekovic Memorial, a World Athletics Continental Tour Gold event, that took place in Zagreb on September 7, 2024. She held off Natoya Goule-Toppin of Jamaica (1:57.43) and Nigist Getachew of Ethiopia (1:57.47) while striding ahead in the final bend to win the race.
