Big throws from global champions
Dominance reigned supreme between Olympic gold medalists Wojciech Nowicki and Anita Wlodarczyk in the hammer throw contests. Nowicki threw a world-leading mark of 81.43m, the first of its kind in Kenya. Wlodarczyk produced a third-round effort of 78.06m to emerge the winner in the women's category
