Bett smashes meeting record in Zagreb
Leonard Kipkemoi Bett of Kenya was conspicuously jubilant for smashing the 3000m steeplechase meeting record at the Boris Hanzekovic Memorial, a World Athletics Continental Tour Gold event, that took place in Zagreb on September 7, 2024. His hiatus since July due to injury did not deter his return as he came back in style, running a PB of 8:06.33 to make him the sixth fastest men’s 3000m steeplechaser this year. Ahmed Jaziri of Tunisia (8:08:11) and Morocco’s Mohamed Tindouft (8:11.56) came second and third respectively.
